Can’t decide what to do for New Year’s Eve? Here are some of the best events, parties and dining happening in Toronto this year.

CN Tower

Toronto’s most iconic landmark will be hosting a NYE party where you can ring in the new year 300 meters above ground. Dine and dance the night away on the famous glass floor at the main event, where you can enjoy sparkling wine, food stations, passed hors d’oeuvres, and stunning views.

Also at the CN Tower, the rotating 360 Restaurant will be preparing a special four-course NYE meal including a sparking wine toast at midnight. Expect gourmet food and wine with a focus on local — including the award-winning wine and craft beer list. With views over the city skyline, Lake Ontario and fireworks below, it will be a night to remember.

The Harbourfront

The annual fireworks at The Harbourfront is Toronto’s go-to New Year’s Eve celebration. The free outdoor event features fireworks, and various activities at different locations along the waterfront. It’s family-friendly and all ages are welcome — join thousands of excited partygoers for the midnight countdown. If you’re visiting from out of town, this is also where you’ll get the best photo ops along with your New Year’s Eve entertainment; Sugar Beach, Little Norway Park, and HTO Park are the best spots to catch the fireworks.

NYE ROM After Dark

Dance the night away with amazing live music, thrilling DJs, epic performances—and so much more. New Year’s Eve at the ROM will feature live performances by Battle of Santiago, Saxsyndrum, Sean Stanley Trio, and DJ Grump – Plus a 90’s and early 00’s video dance party and DZouk Dance Workshop. Food stations will be set up throughout ROM – Gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options will be available! There really is something for everyone and promises to be a fantastic way to ring in the new year.

Bravissimo! Opera’s Greatest Hits at Roy Thomson Hall

Celebrate the new decade with a cast of top international opera stars! This annual concert features the finest arias, choruses, and duets from the best-loved operas including Rigoletto, Tosca, La Bohème, Aida and Carmen. It’s an evening of passion, romance and decadence and a unique New Year’s celebration for seasoned opera lovers and those new to the scene.

No matter what New Year’s Eve event you choose, keep your evening safe and stress-free by choosing transit and booking a centrally located hotel so you can celebrate all night long. The Anndore House, JDV by Hyatt, Hotel Victoria, and Novotel Toronto Centre are all great options in the downtown core.

2024 is shaping up to be a great year. Get out there and celebrate!
